Mount Ararat Trekking

We can meet at Van, Ağri or Iğdir Airports easily. You can choose which airport do you prefer

Van – Doğubeyazıt, 2.5 hr by bus.

Iğdir – Doğubeyazıt, 45 min. by bus.

Ağri – Doğubeyazıt, 90 min. by bus.

Day 1

We meet at the airport of your choosing, then transfer to a comfortable hotel in Doğubeyazit where we stay the night.

Day 2

Transfer to Mt. Ararat by car (2200 masl) and from this point we start trekking up to camp 1 (3200 masl).We stay the night in tents at camp 1.

Day 3

We start acclimatization at 3200 masl and go up to 4200 masl. Then return to camp, have dinner, and sleep.

Day 4

We start at 3200 masl. Have an early breakfast and go up to the second camp (4200 masl).

Day 5

Summit day. We will wake up at 1 am, have breakfast and start the ascend at 2 am, to reach the summit at 5137 masl (5-6 hrs). We will have around 10-20 minutes to take pictures and then return to second camp (4200 masl). We rest for one hour and return to base camp at 3200 masl. Sleep there in tents.

Day 6

We will have breakfast in the morning, then renturn to Eli village (2200 masl) where our driver will meet us to take us back to our hotel in Doğubeyazıt. We rest for one hour, have lunch and then go on a cultural tour to visit Isak Paşa palace, Iran border, meteor crater, Noha’s Ark, turkish bath, and stay the night at the hotel.
